Seed Tea Light Holder Bronze

Molded in resin from the actual seed pod and finished in antiqued silver leaf, it makes a unique and fun tea light for any dining or kitchen table. These seed pods have an interesting story. Before modern forms of pens were invented the trees’ unripe seed pods were sawn in half. They were then filled with sand and resealed to make decorative pen sandboxes. Also called pounce pots they were used like salt sellers to pour sand on to the wet ink to help it dry.
